Brixham, England

I had never seen a town remotely similar to Brixham when I visited it in November 1981. It’s a seaside town, largely built on hills that slope down to the sea. In 1981 it seemed unchanged for a hundred years or more and in looking at recent photographs on the Internet, it seems this is still the case. I’m told it is a popular summer destination, but it is primarily a fishing village, one of the most important in England. I was able to leisurely wander its streets for half a dozen days thirty years ago and I found a few good photographs.
