The Gas Station

The Gas Station, a sculpture garden and performance space, located on Avenue B at 2nd Street, survived for a little more than a decade, from the mid-1980s to the mid 1990s. It was always visually fascinating. It has been replaced by a dull apartment block that houses a Duane Reade Drug Store and people who have no idea they live at a location that was once somewhat more exciting.
