Oslo Jazz Festival 1987
Cab Calloway was the first big star to appear at the Oslo Jazz Festival. There were photographs and stories in all the newspapers and his concerts were sold out. Some people even came to the concerts dressed in period costumes and Cab was happy to pose with all of them. The Harlem Blues and Jazz Band, made up of old-timers, some of whom had played with Benny Waters in the 1920s was also on hand.
